The report " Women as Peace Builders and Agents of Change in the Maldives" has been a collaborative effort between UNDP Maldives and National Counter Terrorism Centre with generous assistance from Government of Japan, which alludes to how applying a gender perspective in peace and political processes can mitigate bias, prevent further undermining of women's rights, and ensure inclusive and sustainable peacemaking and peace-building.

The "Youth Vulnerability Assessment in the Maldives" is an extensive research conducted by National Conter Terrorism Centre and UNDP Maldives with support from Government of Japan, to better understand the root causes and vulnerabilities leading Maldiivian youth to violent extremism.

The National Strategy on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism is an important landmark document in the national efforts undertaken by Maldives to prevent and counter the threat of violent extremism. As outlined in the State Policy on Terrorism and Violent Extremism, Maldives views the threat of violent extremism with grave concern, and has pledged to take swift action against anyone participating in, propagating, supporting or enabling violent extremism through any means.
