Counter Radicalization Committee Reviews the National PCVE Efforts.

As part of the "Whole of Government" approach, NCTC conducted the Counter Radicalization Committee meeting to discuss on the progress of the national efforts on prevention and counter radicalization and spread of violent extremism in the Maldives.

The meeting was attended by the members from designated ministries, and was presided over by the committee chairman, Minister of Defence and National Security Honorable Adam Shareef Umar. During the meeting, high level representatives from stakeholder agencies briefed about the specific PCVE programs conducted during the first six months of 2018 and discussed about way forward. Furthermore, designated committee members focused on the issues related to the spread of violent extremism and radicalization in the Maldives.
