Deputy Regional Director of UNDP for Asia and Pacific.

DG of NCTC Brigadier General Zakariyyaa Mansoor met the Deputy Regional Director of UNDP for Asia and Pacific Ms. Valerie Cliff for a working lunch today.

In the meeting DG expressed his gratitude to UNDP for the opportunity given to NCTC for studying the Indonesian model to tackle radicalization as well as the different projects that the UNDP is conducting to empower youth and women.

He also highlighted the importance of conducting a program specially geared to minimize the radicalization of the Maldivian society.

The recently published “National strategy on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism” was also presented to Ms. Valerie Cliff.
