A special meeting of the Counter Radicalization Committee was held on request of UNDP Maldives to introduce the members of the CR committee to the PCVE consultant Mr. Robert Templer, who is presently conducting a UNDP led Nationwide Youth Vulnerability Assessment project. This project would assist in the development of the PCVE National Action Plan. The draft plan is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Director General of NCTC Brig. Gen. Zakariyyaa Mansoor also briefed the CR committee members of the Counter Radicalization programs that NCTC has scheduled for the next 3 months. These programs include the Formulation of NAP, a High-Level Dialogue on Peace and Security to the political leadership of the organisations represented by the CR committee to increase their awareness of the threat picture as well as a Youth Leadership conference and a PCVE awareness workshop for the Heads of Schools of Addu City and Fuvahmulah City.

During the meeting DG of NCTC requested from the members of the CR Committee to give their full support to the events that are scheduled for the next 3 months
